Welcome to Room 4's Solar System!

In Room 4, we have been learning about the Space. We have been learning about the planets in our Solar System. We talked about the different things that are on the planets. We made a brainstorm about what our planets could look like.

Skip Counting

LI: I am learning to skip count to 100 in 2's, 5's and 10's.

Pranav: I have to think a lot when I am skip counting. The hardest number to skip count in is 2's.

Rubbish in the River

LI: I am learning to make a prediction about the story by looking at the pictures.

Pranav: Sometimes it is hard when we are making predictions because we have to think a lot. The title and the pictures help a lot.

LI: I am learning to choose words that make my writing more interesting.

Pranav: I know that amazing is an exciting word. I can use words like amazing in my writing. I can read my exciting words louder too.

Clown Pastel Art

I am learning to create a clown face using pastels, and add another feature using a different medium.

I wrote my own sentence about who my clown is.

Balloons

LI: I am learning to illustrate a story that I wrote using Kidpix

"I like the shape of my balloon because it is nice and round."

Rhyming words

LI: I am learning about rhyming words

"A rhyming word is a word that matches another word like han and man."

Adding two numbers

LI: I am learning to add two numbers together up to 20

"I can match the puzzle pieces together and add the two numbers to find the answer."

I am learning to draw a self portrait and add detail to it.

"I can add detail to my face by choosing the right colours." Pranav
